Keeping King Boulevard beautiful is the new WOGCC volunteer project for 2018.  Working with the Amoco Reuse Agreement Joint Powers Board and the City, WOGCC volunteers spent a couple of hours picking up trash.

The group collected eight bags of trash on the southbound side of the street and the median.

After the work was done, the Amoco Reuse Agreement Joint Powers Board Executive Director Renee Hahn surprised everyone by presenting the volunteer committee with a plaque thanking WOGCC for their hard work.

"It is our pleasure," stated Kimberly Mazza who heads up the agency's volunteer program. "We are quite fortunate to work in such nice offices and the surrounding area is so lovely.  It's a perfect fit for us to pitch in and help keep it looking nice."

WOGCC next trash pickup day will be sometime in the fall.
