WOGCC Proposes Rule to Address Volume of Drilling Permits ![]() In accordance with Wyoming’s rule-making guidelines, the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (WOGCC) released a proposed rule at its July 9, 2019 hearings initiating the rule-making process to deal with the increased volume of drilling permits. Written public comments will be collected and reviewed during a 45-day comment period that will be announced at a later date along with how to properly submit comments. It is recommended to reference the WOGCC website homepage periodically for updates regarding the rule as well as subscribing for email notifications by clicking on the GovDelivery icon to the left of this notice. ATTENTION INTERESTED CONTRACTORS:
The WOGCC requests bids for several projects associated
with our Orphan Well Program throughout the year. All service contractors
interested in becoming a vendor for WOGCC must first register with State
Construction at https://stateconstruction.wyo.gov/. Once on
their website, choose the "Procurement" tab along the top and scroll
down until you see the “register with public purchase” tab on the left hand
side after the list of current bids.
Once registered with State Construction, contractors will receive
notifications of open bidding as soon as WOGCC submits a project to Public
Purchase.

FINAL DRAFT OF COMMERCIAL CLASS II DISPOSAL WELL RULES (CHAPTERS 1&3) APPROVED BY COMMISSION
The proposed Commercial Class II Disposal Well rules found in Chapters 1 and 3 were approved with amendments by the Commission at the October 13, 2020 hearings before the Commission. The proposed rules with amendments will now go to the Wyoming Secretary of State's office and then to the Governor's office for review. ATTENTION ATTORNEYS PRACTICING BEFORE THE COMMISSON
The Supervisor's new policy has requested that draft Orders be provided to the hearing examiners the week of hearings, preferably the day of. To assist attorneys practicing before the Commission the WOGCC is developing Order Templates for matters heard before the Examiners. Although many of the attorneys practicing before the Commission are using similar Orders, the WOGCC requests that the templates be used as much as practicable. This will aid staff in their review of Orders, provide consistency of form, and will result in quicker turnaround times for information being updated on Area of Review.Updates to new policies are found on the homepage of the agency's website under News and Updates Tab/Policy Memos. Coronavirus Update:
Although some WOGCC
staff are teleworking, the offices remain open. The agency will continue to be
available to assist and carry out work in a timely manner. In order to limit the amount of outside traffic
in our facilities, we ask that business needs be handled by phone or mail
verses physically coming in especially if you are sick or not feeling well. If you have any
questions, please call our offices at 307-234-7147. We know you have business
to do, and we will continue to meet those needs as efficiently as
