Bidding on Orphan Well Projects
The WOGCC requests bids for several projects associated with our Orphan Well Program throughout the year. All service contractors interested in becoming a vendor for WOGCC must register with the state's Administration and Information (A&I) offices at: https://ai.wyo.gov/divisions/general-services/purchasing
Once registered with A&I, contractors will receive notifications of open bidding as soon as WOGCC submits a project to Public Purchase. If you are registered and are not receiving notifications, please contact Public Purchase.
General orphan well package information:
WOGCC builds packages of orphan wells based on geographical and logistical elements in the field. The bidding contractor (or their declared 3rd parties) are responsible for disassembling pump jacks for well tree access, pulling tubing, setting cast iron retainers, casing testing, placing cement and/or bentonite and cutting/capping the well bore. For Coal Bed Methane wells, the contractor will remove all surface and down hole equipment to various lay-down yards as specified by inspection staff. The bidding contractors are also responsible for maintaining daily project updates to WOGCC inspection staff and other bid related details. WOGCC handles all in house administrative notifications such as sundry notices and subsequent reporting.
